| Community participation is an important component of the FUSRAP Maywood Chemical Company Superfund site cleanup for several reasons. First, an active community relations program is required at all Superfund sites. But moreover, the community relations program for the Maywood site reflects the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ commitment to two-way communication that not only keeps citizens informed about site progress, but also provides an opportunity for public feedback and input on site decisions. |
